Question Ranger/Monk build help

PVE Ranger/Monk

Lvl 12

6 healing Prayers
4 Expertise
5 = 7 Wilderness Survival
9 = 10 Marmanship

Power shot
Screaming shot
Crossfire
Hunter's Shot
Whirling defense
Kindle Arrows
Healing Breeze
Monk Rez

This is not a lvl 20! I am only lvl 12, I'm on "Following the Trail" and I only have Nightfall. As you can tell, I really need help, so can you help me?

Get rid of Healing Breeze. In fact, forget that Healing Prayers exists. As a non-monk, there is no worthy excuse to put points there. Rangers have Troll Unguent for a reason.

Screaming Shot and Hunter's Shot is redundant. Keep Screaming; it's a much better choice. Similarly, choose between Power Shot and Crossfire. I suggest Crossfire, but it's your call.

Now you have three (two if you use Unguent) open slots. If you have any interruption skills available, this is the time to start practicing. Using them well is a key to greatness later on in the game.

Beyond that, play around whenever you encounter new skills. It shouldn't take long to figure out which ones you prefer.

p.s. Don't neglect your Expertise attribute. It's a common mistake for new rangers.

When you get to torment however, one monk skill you should be sure to pick up is mending touch :P
Jade's right on target about expertise. I generally run 13+ and in no circumstances will I run less than 9 (at level 20). The troll unguent is easily superior to healing breeze at almost every level. Also unless you are actively trying to deal damage with whirling defense(which you wont be at 4 expertise), you may consider the dual utility of natural stride as you will be spending some points in wilderness for troll unguent.

You have Nightfall and you want to play Barrage ranger? Is there a specific reason for that?

In Nightfall [wiki]Burning Arrow[/wiki] is far better.

Might I suggest something like:
[skill]Apply Poison[/skill][skill]Burning Arrow[/skill][skill]Screaming Shot[/skill][skill]Distracting Shot[/skill][skill]Keen Arrow[/skill][skill]Whirling Defense[/skill][skill]Troll Unguent[/skill][skill]Sunspear Rebirth Signet[/skill]
Attributes something like 14/15 Marksmanship, 11/12 Expertise, rest in Wilderness.

Perhaps replacing Whirling Defense with Natural Stride, or Lightning Reflexes for a 33% faster attack speed. Could consider R/Me for Epidemic.

As an Alternative to Burning Arrow when you're futher into the game look up [wiki]Prepared Shot[/wiki] - the energy return allows you to use more expensive attacks more regularly.

In my opinion Barrage is not great unless used with Splinter Weapon, which is a Factions Ritualist skill.
